In any school, things can occasionally go wrong.  When that happens, we want to make it as easy as possible to address any issues for parents/carers.

A way of preventing problems from developing is for you to encourage your child to share any problem or anxiety with her form tutor, subject teacher, Pastoral Support Manager or Head of Year, or one of the Assistant Headteachers or the Deputy Headteacher, however trivial it may seem.

Pastoral Support Managers

The primary role of the Pastoral Support Managers is to ensure the wellbeing of the students in their respective year groups.  They also act as Attendance Officer for their individual year group.   You can address any queries about any aspect of your child's education or any other pastoral issues to them:

YEAR 7 PASTORAL SUPPORT MANAGER Miss C Weekes cweekes@laretraite.co.uk
YEAR 8 PASTORAL SUPPORT MANAGER Miss L Foster lfoster@laretraite.co.uk
YEAR 9 PASTORAL SUPPORT MANAGER Mrs D Champagnie-Pope dchampagniepope@laretraite.co.uk
YEAR 10 PASTORAL SUPPORT MANAGER Miss M Williams mwilliams@laretraite.co.uk
YEAR 11 PASTORAL SUPPORT MANAGER Miss S Cadette scadette@laretraite.co.uk

Heads of Year

The Heads of Year are primarily responsible for the learning and development of the students in their year group for all subjects.  You can address any queries about any aspect of your child's education to them:

YEAR 7 Miss J McFarlane jmcfarlane@laretraite.co.uk
YEAR 8 Mrs A Claps aclaps@laretraite.co.uk
YEAR 9 Miss F Gray fgray@laretraite.co.uk
YEAR 10 Mr L Thomas lthomas@laretraite.co.uk
YEAR 11 Ms N Tamakloe ntamakloe@laretraite.co.uk

Assistant Headteacher (Pastoral Support oversight)

Mr Obah, Assistant Headteacher, has overall responsibility for pastoral support from Years 7 to 11, and if you feel that a matter has not been dealt with to your satisfaction, and contact with your child's form tutor, Pastoral Support Manager, or Head of Year has been exhausted, then Mr Obah should be able to advise or help you. He can be contacted by email: bobah@laretraite.co.uk

Safeguarding Officer

If you have any concerns about the health and safety of a child, please contact Miss Pitts, Safeguarding Officer, by telephone on 020 8673 5644 Ext. 187 or Mr D Anti, Assistant Headteacher (and Designated Safeguarding Lead) on 020 8673 5644 Ext. 188

Headteacher

If you need to contact the Headteacher, Mr Malins, please contact him via Mrs A Love, Head of Administration, at the school.

Attendance

To report a student from Years 7 to 13 as absent, please call 020 8673 5644, then choose Option 1 and then chose the options after this for each relevant year group.
