Title
In September, keen gardeners across Years 8-10 from the Garden Club were invited to visit the Superbloom in the Tower of London Moat and explore the Tower of London.
Superbloom is a new natural landscape surrounding the Tower od London, designed to bloom and evolve over the course of summer as a result of 20 million flower seeds sown in the moat earlier this year. The trip was extremely informative and interesting, as students learnt all about different flowers and their benefits, alongside the Crown Jewels, ravens and the horror stories from the Tower of London!
Whilst on the trip, students walked across London Bridge and saw people queuing to see the Queen lying in state and witnessed how nature and London landmarks can combine together to five colour and tone to historical places.
“My favourite part of the trip was walking around the moat to see the superbloom. I want to try to create something similar for our school. It felt like being in the countryside.” Chloe, La Retraite Student
