Armistice Day lest we forget

Armistice Day – lest we forget

To celebrate Armistice Day, as a school we have put on various activities to remember the millions upon millions of soldiers and civilians killed during the First World War. During the week students have been in the library creating Remembrance Day2023 bookmarks using Poppies.  The school library was also a hub of celebration with poster displayed in the rooms.

On the 10th November, there was a 2 minutes silence at 11am to mark Remembrance Day.  The 2 minutes silence will start with "The Last Post" played by Luis (Year 12) and at the end there was a short piece "Reveille" to mark the end of the 2 minutes silence.

Our CCF Navy Cadets were very busy during Remembrance week attending the Remembrance Day Service at City Hall, with the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan in attendance.  They also attended the Streatham Remembrance Service
