Preparing for the FuturePosted on: 24th Apr 2022
In early March, we brought you news of The Medic Portal introducing 15 students across Year 11 and 12 to what the BMAT is, and how aspiring medic students can ensure they are fully prepared for the exam.
The tutor took students through the test format, how each section is marked, common mistakes, top tips, practice questions and how to revise, enabling students with the key skills needed to succeed.
We caught up with some of our students to find out more about their thoughts of the session...
“The BMAT learning Day was an event ran by a member of The Medic Portal who introduced to us what the BMAT is and how us aspiring medic students can ensure we are fully prepared for the exam.
The tutor thoroughly went through: the test format, how each section is marked, top tips, common mistakes, practice questions and how to revise, enabling us with all the key skills needed to succeed. I enjoyed the day very much; it was very engaging and throughout the event I was able to acquire many new things. As well as that, I was also able to develop transferable skills that I can use when pursuing my career in medicine." Faridah
“I found the course extremely useful as in the beginning I didn't have prior knowledge on what the BMAT was and the reasons to taking it. it was very informative and interesting, and I found it fun it some aspects." Shahd
