Last term, some Portuguese speaking students took part in a conference online to raise awareness of the importance of learning Portuguese for the world of work.

Led by Somos Lambeth’s Inspiration Events, the inspiration event was a chance for the Portuguese-speaking students across all years to meet industry professionals and mentors, hear their story, ask them questions and raise aspirations among students and introduce them to a range of professions, including tourism and hospitality, journalism, engineering, airline staff, translators, EU and UN staff and much more. The session was incredibly insightful, and all students have been given food for thought about the opportunity of using Portuguese in the future.
