Understanding the BrainPosted on: 12th Nov 2021
Year 12 and 13 Psychology and Biology students participated in a Brain Day event by the Medical Biology Interactive. The fascinating one-day workshop covered neuroanatomy, brain chemistry, drugs and the bran, bran damage, dissection and the criminal brain.
The onsite event aimed to provide students with an understanding into how the brain works, learn about the latest methods and research into studying the brain, a brain dissection and examine the impacts of brain damage.
The event was an insightful experience wit provided students with extensive new knowledge about the brain, developing their current understanding and encouraging them to engage in further reading about the latest research on the brain.
To conclude, students gained career insights about working in cognitive neuroscience. We would like to thank Dr Sutton for delivering a highly informative day and inspiring our students in to Psychology & Medicine over this week.
